Editorial policy

Autism information is health information, and families make real decisions based on it. We take that seriously. This policy explains how our content is made and the standards it's held to.

Accuracy first

We aim for content that is accurate, current, and genuinely useful. Provider details are drawn from public records and providers' own websites and checked by a person. Guides and explainers are grounded in reputable public sources (for example the CDC, state Medicaid programs, and recognized professional bodies), and we cite them where relevant.

How content is reviewed

• Every provider listing is human-reviewed before publishing.
• Educational content goes through a review pass for accuracy, clarity, and tone before it goes live, and is revisited when the underlying facts change.
• We date our pages so you can see when they were last updated, and we correct mistakes promptly when they're flagged.

Not medical advice

Content on Autism Services Finder is for general informational purposes only. It is not medical, clinical, legal, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for guidance from a qualified professional who knows your child. Always consult a licensed provider about diagnosis and treatment decisions. If your child is in crisis or needs urgent help, contact your doctor or local emergency services.

Independence from advertising

We're funded by providers, through verified listings and clearly-labeled Featured placements, but our editorial content is independent of those relationships. Paying can't change our independent description of a provider, the facts we show, or a Google rating, and featured placements are always disclosed as featured. See how we make money.

Inclusive language

We respect both identity-first ("autistic child") and person-first ("child with autism") language, avoid deficit and "cure" framing, and don't use puzzle-piece imagery. Language evolves, and we update ours as community preferences do.
