How we vet providers

We want you to trust what you see here. So here's exactly how a provider gets onto the directory, what we check, and where our knowledge ends.

Who we list

A provider is eligible to appear only if it meets our criteria:

• It genuinely offers one of our covered services for children: ABA therapy, autism diagnosis & assessment, occupational therapy, or speech therapy.
• It serves children and families (not adults-only practices).
• It operates in an area we currently cover.

Listings that don't clearly meet these criteria are removed. We'd rather show fewer providers we're confident about than pad the list.

How we build a listing

• We start from public records (public business listings and the national provider (NPI) registry) to identify real, operating practices.
• We read the provider's own website to understand the services they offer, the ages they serve, insurance they accept, their settings (in-home, center, telehealth), and the clinicians on staff.
• A person reviews every listing before it's published. We confirm the provider is a real autism-services practice, correct mis-categorizations, and remove anything that doesn't belong.
• We write our own descriptions. The summaries on our pages are written by us from the facts we gather. We don't copy a provider's marketing.

Ratings and reviews

Star ratings and review counts shown on a provider's page are sourced from Google and refreshed periodically. They reflect Google reviewers' experiences, not our opinion. We don't write or alter reviews.

What we can't promise

We're a directory, not a clinic or a credentialing body. Being listed here is not an endorsement, a recommendation, or a guarantee of quality or outcomes. Details like insurance, availability, and waitlists change often, so always confirm directly with a provider before making a decision. Verifying licensure, credentials, and fit for your child is an important step we encourage every family to take.

How we make money, and what it doesn't buy

Autism Services Finder is free for families. We're funded by providers: a practice can claim and verify its listing for a small fee, and some providers pay for a Featured placement. Here's the line we hold so you can trust what you see:

• Featured listings are always labeled. When a provider pays for a featured spot, it's clearly marked, never disguised as a neutral result.
• Paying never changes the facts or the review. A provider can't buy a better description, edit our independent summary, or change its Google rating. The information shown is the same whether or not a provider pays us.
• Free listings get the same vetting. Every provider that meets our criteria is listed and human-reviewed, paying or not. Claiming a listing keeps its details accurate. It doesn't buy favorable treatment.
• We may earn a fee when we connect you with a provider. That never changes which providers are a genuine fit for your child. Matches are based on your needs, not on who pays the most.

Corrections, claims & removals

If you're a provider and something on your page is wrong, you can claim your listing to update it, or contact us and we'll fix it. If you believe a listing shouldn't be here, or you'd like a profile removed, let us know. We review every request.
