Overview
Inside Pediatric Associates of Dallas, a small team of speech-language pathologists sees kids from infancy through age 18 for everything from apraxia and articulation delays to feeding challenges and autism-related communication needs. The clinic is owned and operated by its own therapists rather than an outside group, and it grew out of two SLPs sharing a single therapy room into today's staff of four. Individualized evaluations and treatment plans are the norm here, not a one-size-fits-all script.
Best suited for Dallas-area parents who want a pediatrician's-office-adjacent SLP practice for kids working through apraxia, feeding and swallowing issues, or autism-linked communication delays.
Sessions lean play-based and are built around each child's specific goals, with therapists coordinating directly with pediatricians and outside specialists as needed. A couple of staff bring extra certifications to the table, including PROMPT training for childhood apraxia of speech and VitalStim for swallowing and dysphagia work.
Plan on roughly an hour and a half for the first evaluation, with intake forms sent over ahead of time so the visit can focus on your child. After that initial assessment, your therapist maps out a schedule and frequency together with you, and families outside the clinic's insurance network can request a completed HCFA form to try for reimbursement.
