Overview

Speech Therapy for autism in Friendswood

Founded in 2011 by Dr. Michelle Saltarrelli — one of fewer than 0.3% of clinicians nationwide who hold dual certification in both audiology and speech-language pathology — this Friendswood practice runs two dedicated clinics on South Friendswood Drive and a 20-member team. Speech services span articulation, fluency, apraxia, voice, language, and cognition therapy; audiology covers hearing evaluations, hearing aids, vestibular rehabilitation, tinnitus care, and cochlear implants. Families across the Greater South Houston area can access both specialties without coordinating care elsewhere.

Best for

Children and families in Friendswood and South Houston who need speech-language therapy, especially those with co-occurring hearing or auditory concerns that benefit from having both an SLP and an audiologist on staff.

Their approach

A deep clinical team — credentialed SLPs, clinical fellows, and a neuroaudiologist — works under one roof so communication and hearing needs can be addressed together rather than in separate practices. Clinicians hold certifications in LSVT-LOUD, Vital Stim, and orofacial myology, and the speech team deliberately includes practitioners experienced with pediatric and school-age populations.

What to expect

Appointments are scheduled online or by phone at (346) 474-4626 (ext. 2 speech, ext. 3 audiology); the practice accepts all major insurance and offers CareCredit financing. Speech clinic hours run Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 6 PM; the audiology office is open 9 AM to 4 PM weekdays.
