Overview

Speech Therapy for autism in Houston

Speech-language therapy, dyslexia intervention, and feeding therapy come together at this Katy-based practice serving children from 15 months through school age. Families can access care in-clinic at La Centerra at Cinco Ranch, in their home, or online — and WestWorks also contracts directly with public, charter, and private schools across Texas. The team of two CCC-SLPs and six SLP-Assistants and dyslexia specialists brings Neuhaus Education Center training and a range of autism-relevant approaches including PECS, DIR/Floortime, and SCERTS.

Best for

Children in the Katy and greater Houston area who need speech-language support alongside structured literacy or dyslexia work, including kids already receiving school-based services who want continued care over breaks.

Their approach

Sessions are individually planned — 30, 45, or 60 minutes — with frequency matched to the child's needs (typically 1–2x weekly for speech, 3–5x for reading intervention). Multisensory, systematic literacy instruction from Neuhaus runs alongside traditional speech-language methods, and families are actively coached as part of the treatment plan.

What to expect

A complimentary phone consultation is available before any commitment; from there, evaluations and therapy can be scheduled in-home, at the clinic, or virtually. WestWorks is in-network with BCBS-TX and will provide superbills to help families seek out-of-network reimbursement from other insurers.
