Overview
Two clinics operate under one roof in Katy: the Patricia Munoz Behavioral and Research Center and its multicultural ABA arm, Diverse Kids. Together they offer ABA therapy, speech therapy, and counseling for children and teens with autism, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental needs. The center is founded and directed by Dr. Patricia Munoz — a PhD-level psychologist and dual-licensed behavior analyst with deep roots in autism research — and the full team works in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Bilingual and multilingual families — particularly Portuguese- and Spanish-speaking households — who want a research-grounded ABA and speech program for a child or teen with autism or ADHD.
ABA programming is individualized through functional behavioral assessment, 1:1 direct therapy, and structured parent training, all supervised by QBA- and QASP-S-credentialed analysts. Speech therapy is child-led and strengths-based, drawing on Gestalt Language Processing and AAC, with responsive feeding therapy woven in for kids who need it.
New clients are welcome; call the main line to confirm insurance — health plans are accepted for counseling and speech therapy, while coaching services run on a self-pay basis. Sessions make use of specialized tools including a sensory room, playroom, and biofeedback-based programs like Mightier.
